Natalie and Sanja have been taking photos at parties and events since they can remember. They loved the moments captured when nobody was looking, the times when people were at their most natural, unsuspecting of the camera’s furtive eye. The girl who just broke her heel... the bottle of wine being spilled on the table, the moonlight that illuminated her hair so that it was almost incandescent... the boy looking at her... the stolen kiss on the dance floor.

The next morning it would be quite compelling looking through the moments that would normally have been forgotten. “I don’t remember this!”, “Wow, the lighting is perfect!”, “I can’t believe I missed this part!” Well these moments did happen, they came and went, stolen by those bandit clutches of time. They needed to be captured, and remembered, for life.

It didn’t take Natalie and Sanja long to realise that they were in love with taking pictures. They recognised that the important thing is not the camera but the eye... that moments were fleeting and that they needed to be salvaged. While they were walking along Seapoint Promenade watching that mind-blowing Cape Town sunset, Natalie and Sanja decided to create For Life photography, a wedding photography business that would combine raw talent with enthusiastic passion to produce imagery of an unforgettable nature. Natalie’s incredible eye and Sanja’s resourceful imagination were the essential ingredients necessary to fashion a photography business destined to capture not only the moments, but also the hearts of clients. It was Mark Twain who once remarked, “You cannot depend on your eyes if your imagination is out of focus”. That is why this team works – beautifully.
